Looks like Dels Griff behind you.We were there too but wouldn't do another central London trip as the traffic was horrendous. We failed to get to the Ace (too late - stuck on M4 coming from Wales) and just made it to the meet.
Don't know how or why anyone would want to drive around there.

I was there as well.
I took one of the workers along, so was in the first 50 or so cars out of the Ace. Made it to Whitehall after long queues down Piccadilly and Haymarket.
Got back to the Ace around 4pm, there were still cars just making it to Whitehall at that time!
I have quite a few photos, and some video footage, as well.
It was very much of it's time though, I wouldn't do it again. The original run had a real purpose which made it more than just a convoy.

What was the run for ?
It was a few things really.Firstly TVR owner Nikolai Smolenski had announced that the Bristol Avenue site was to close with production moving to mainland Europe.
A petition was run here on PH, to hand to number 10, which asked the Government to provide support for the workers and ensure that everything could be done to encourage TVR to remain in the UK.
Workers from TVR came down by coach and were given the chance to ride in the spare passenger seats through London as a way of owners showing support for them. The Lady who I took on the drive through London had never been down here before, and was amazed how busy everywhere was.
Finally there was a record attempt for the longest one marque convoy. Unfortunately I don't think the rules came through in time, and in any event it would have been extremely difficult to have a continuous unbroken line of cars over a set distance on public roads!

I was there too. And the owner's run from Pontins in Blackpool to the factory to support the workforce a few weeks before London Thunder. And Thunderball the following February.
Sad times for many of my friends.
Towed the Tasmin racer on the Blackpool run and the Tuscan racer all the way to Downing Street.Sad times for many of my friends.
Don't remember much about the Thunderball though...
